Well it has been a good couple of weeks, Sandy is getting stronger and feeling better every day! She passed her driver test given by her Aunt Lyssa and was given her car back on April 15th. She has since been doing a remarkable job of getting life back on track. She is able to take care of her kids without the hired help! We are still waiting for a shipment of medication from the U.S. it was stuck at customs for 9 days hopefully we get it this week. We were to have her on this stuff till we get back to Sanoviv to strengthen her body in preparation for the vaccine. We also received word that we will be going back sooner, probably mid June because her Chiropractor who was seeing her is away the last week in June and she wants to continue treatment on her when we return. Today she is at the dentist having her fillings removed as this was something Sanoviv requested but she was to ill to have it done out there, the mercury in the fillings is not good for the liver making healing tough for her body.
On a very happy note, the fundraiser in Steinbach was awesome there was 300 people with a great meal and the entertainment top notch!! It is hard to express our gratitude we feel very undeserving. It was so cool to watch all the people working together to make the day happen many of them had never met before. We have no idea how to go about thanking everyone. Oh and they informed me I said the sh*t word during my speech, I didn't notice my ticker was pounding to hard but if it offended you I'm sorry I meant it in a good way like poop, feces, stool. Anyway they raised $16,500.00 after expenses WOW !!!!
We are grateful to all prayed for us during this crazy time in our life as there were many days we were so distraught it was almost impossible to pray or to know what to pray for. We were so happy with the help we received from everyone, some days it felt like we just couldn't do one more day, exhaustion, and desperation made some days to difficult to go on. You really start to wonder what the great plan is, what is the big picture and why can't we see it. Just then He would send an angel to the rescue. Gonna owe a lot of people for a long time.
The people at South Junction "Shakers restaurant" have informed us that they will be selling t-shirts and doing a community fundraiser in Sprague on May 22. It will incl silent auction, garage sale, bake sale at the school in Sprague.
Also Piney is having a Ladies Spring Tea on May 8th and proceeds will also be donated. All I can think or speak is WOW!!!!!!
So again thanks for ALL the support in every shape and form!
-Susan
That's all great news you guys! I can't imagine how difficult it has been for all of you. The only power bigger than the power of community is God's power. Keep leaning on it...All the best! Trish Braun
