Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.
And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't He more surely care for you?
Luke 12: 27,28
Last night [Tuesday], they had Sandy on an IV from 6pm to midnight. This morning [Wednesday] when we arrived at the 7 am doctor's appointment, we were informed that her Endoscopy (throat thing) was postponed until 12 noon. Last night [Tuesday] at supper she had chicken broth and since then she had be fasting. She lost another 2 lbs (down to 122 lbs) and her feet look great! She has toes!
The endoscopy showed her throat was good, but they found an ulcer on her small intestine and fixed it, shooting some kind of "bullet" into it which she will poop out in about 4 days. Get this: the surgeon's name was Dr.Hatchett --a little scary, no? They allowed me in the room for the procedure. She kept waking up so they had to continue giving her more anesthesia to knock her out. After the surgery, was complete the anesthetist bugged her saying that she shouldn't be mixing the tequila and the beer: gives bad hangover.
Oh ya, before they knocked Sandy out they told her to dream of Antonio Banderas and when she awoke they asked her if she had been nice to him.
Sandy had 1 hour to recuperate from surgery and we were off to Tijuana for MRI and special blood work. She slept all the way there and all through the MRI and most of the way back. We left at 2pm and got back at 7pm, because we had to wait for the blood work results. They sent one of the male nurses with us. I think as a spy! And yes, I found a cafeteria!!!!!! When the guard no look, I get caffeine, downed it and felt like a million bucks!!!!!!!!
They also found out yesterday that she has a form of dyslexia (her left and right not so good) due to her not crawling as a baby (she started walking at 9 months). They are adjusting that, and she has another session tomorrow. Right now [Wednesday 10pm], she is getting plasma via IV. This only takes 35 min.
Sandy is in better spirits today. She's getting her smile back! The people here are constantly encouraging her which helps a lot. But we know that all of this is God in action! We know that prayers are rising up, and blessing are coming down. So thank-you for your prayers!
Right now, Carlos, a fellow inmate, is sweet talking her with his Mexican charm!! He plays the piano and sings for us in the evening.
Tomorrow, we have a very busy day planned. We should have the results from today's tests, and will find out if she has to have another surgery with the uterus. They think there may be a defect from birth, and that the immune system may also be attacking that area. That's why a specialist is coming in.
