Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! We sure did. We went quadding with all the kids, then had a wiener roast and bonfire. Sandy, of course, is still on the gluten-free and dairy-free (basically food free) diet so she had a meat-free hotdog with spelt buns, oh yum!! Not even the dog could be convinced to eat that stuff, but she is here and feeling better than she has in a very long time.
She had a bit of a bad spell last week again, took her to emerg in Roseau, MN, they did all the blood work and a chest X-ray and it was good. She had some dental work done and we think her body couldn't handle the freezing, her liver is not able to get rid of the drugs in her system fast enough. After a good enema she was feeling a bit better again but it takes a few days. She has another appointment with her Dr. in Roseau on Thursday, May 13th. We are so blessed that the Roseau doctors are working with the Mexican doctors. They are sending all her blood work and tests to Dr. Mesa.
We were informed that the vaccine will be ready on the 10th of June so we expect to go back to Sanoviv on the 13th. Just working on the travel plans at this stage but there is a possibility that her aunt nasty (Joanne Fehr-Fast) will go with her in my place. We have our two girls from Mexico coming out on the 7th of June --don't think they will want to stay with the boys, well Linka might not mind staying with Kevin--not an option.
We went to the Ladies Tea in Piney last Saturday afternoon, they had a good turnout it was a very good time. They had a silent auction and door prize. We played Bingo which I had not done for about 25 years, it was a lot of fun and they raised about $600.00 for Sandy. Awesome!
Just to let everyone know there are T-shirts available with proceeds to Sandy they are REALLY nice and I think the adult size is only $15.00. For more info, call Sarah @ 437-3147.
Thank-you again for your support, it is just mind boggling how many wonderful people are out there. So many willing to give their time and resources, even total strangers giving to her cause.
We are so overwhelmed with love!
Just found out today that the dentist in Steinbach cannot continue to do her dental work that needs to be done, due to her reaction to the medication. It is just to risky. They suggest she either has to go to a specialist in Winnipeg or have it done in Mexico. She does have to get the mercury removed at some point and she also has to have a root canal to deal with her toothache.
try dr. randall dawson in winnipeg for her dental work. 837-8184. 3312 portage avenue.
